Refuting Dan Corner of Evangelical Outreach on Mary Part 2

"Behold, from henceforth, all generations will call me blessed" (Luke 1:48)

PART 2: FROM MR. DAN CORNER:

This is another passage which shows that the Lord denied Mary’s request! Furthermore, Jesus placed any person who does the will of God on a par with Mary, as is apparent in that passage. Mary is not superior to any such person, according to Jesus himself. In fact, the Lord would have us all know that Mary does NOT have a special role or blessing upon her because she gave birth to Jesus:

As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:27,28)

Again, what a gross misuse of Scripture! He's trying to point out again that Mary didn't hear the Word of God and obeyed it. Mr. Corner, if you are ignorant of the Scriptures, I advise you to read Luke 1:26-38. Its all about the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary and how Mary said her fiat, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Be it done to me according to your word" (Luke 1:38). Now, does this passage sound like Mary didn't hear the Word of God and obeyed it?

AND HE SAID: Mary does NOT have a special role or blessing upon her because she gave birth to Jesus:

No special role? Perhaps Dan Corner would like to read Genesis 3:15, the First Proto-Evangelion:

Genesis 3:15, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, between her seed and your seed. He shall bruise your head while you lie in wait for His heel"

This passage shows that there would be an enmity between the serpent (Satan in Revelation 12:9) and the woman from whom the One who will crush the serpent's head will come. So who is this woman in Genesis 3:15 from whom the One who will crush the serpent will come? Its not Israel nor the Church, but rather, the Blessed Virgin Mary, because through her fiat, the One who will crush the serpent, namely Jesus Christ will come.

"Blessed are you for believing that the Lord's Word will come true" (Luke 1:45)

No blessing?

Mr. Dan Corner is Scripturally illiterate. He didn't read the Magnificat of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us look at what Mary said there:

Luke 1:48-49, "For He has looked kindly on the lowliness of His handmaid. For behold, from henceforth, ALL GENERATIONS WILL CALL ME BLESSED. For He who is Mighty has done great things for me and Holy is His Name"

How come Mr. Corner never called Mary, "BLESSED"? She said, "ALL GENERATIONS", which includes Dan Corner. That means he is violating Scripture which Jesus says, "to be true forever" (John 10:35). REPENT FROM YOUR DELUSIONS MR. CORNER! REPENT!

Refuting Dan Corner of Evangelical Outreach on Mary part 1

"Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you!" (Luke 1:28)

FROM MR. DAN CORNER OF EVANGELICAL OUTREACH:

Also remember that at least one time, the Lord denied Mary’s request to talk to him:

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mat 12:46-50)

Mr. Dan Corner is trying to imply that Mary did not do the will of God and thus do not belong to God's family, which is not supported by Scriptural basis. Notice that the Lord didn't deny Mary, rather He introduced a new kind of family wherein not only Mary, but also believers in Christ may join it and this one family has, "One hope, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is Lord of all, who works through all and is in all" (Ephesians 4:4-6) and we know that this is the Church, "which is the Pillar and Ground of the Truth" (1 Timothy 3:15) in which the fires of Hell will not prevail (Matthew 16:18).
